MANDOLIN STRAP COLLAR The Strap Collar is used for A style mandolins as an alternative to drilling a hole in the neck heel for a strap button or just tying the strap to the head of the instrument. You can also use them for F style if you would like to attach your strap to the head instead of the scroll. They are made from soft top grain cowhide leather that is easy on your mandolin and will not cause damage to your mandolin’s finish. The Strap Collar is threaded under the strings on the head of the instrument just behind the nut. Then your strap is attached to the collar through the two eyelets at each end. The leather collar will also cut down on sympathetic vibration/overtones from the strings between the nut and the tuning pegs that occasionally occur while playing your mandolin. The leather lace shown attached to the strap collar is not included, just shows how the collar is attached to a strap. The Strap Collars are $3.95 each, shipping is free, and come in Brown or Black.
