This is a new Republic "Miniolian" parlor size resonator guitar with case. This guitar was designed by resonator guitar enthusiast and player Dr. James Keats of California. After experimenting with the original prototype design, he found that the shorter tailpiece added considerable volume and sustain. This guitar has a totally unique sound with a natural reverb.(a great recording guitar) The guitar is only 37 1/2" long, but has a nice wide 1 13/16" nut. The neck on this guitar joins the body at the 12th fret. The intonation is right on. Most Miniolian owners have said that this is their favorite little guitar to pick up and play. This guitar comes setup with medium action, high enough for slide, but low enough for fingerstyle playing. Each Republic guitar comes serial numbered on the end of the headstock with the date of sale. If you are not familiar with Republic Guitars, please check out our website. The price point of Republic Guitars is like that of an entry level resonator guitar, but Republic Guitars are definitely not entry level. Many well known players and recording studios are adding these guitars to their arsenals. There are links on the website to forums and reviews on Republic Guitars.
