Description

First things first, I know absolutely nothing about Musical Instruments.  I'll try to describe it the best I can and add several pictures.  Please don't hesitate to email any questions you may have. Bought from a Local Estate this Trombone has a Pat. Date of May 17, 1910.  It is signed in several places.  Right where the slide part connects it has a side view of a Lions Head, under that it reads THE KING, MADE BY H. N. WHITE, CLEVELAND, O.  9142.  On slide part it has the same information except the Lions Head is a front view.  Also, 9142 is on the part that slides. The most detailed part is on the Bell itself.  Beautiful scroll like design that reaaches over halfway up the Horn.  It is signed in the middle "KING" MADE BY H.N. WHITE, CLEVELAND, OHIO. The picture doesn't show it very well.  Bell diameter is 7 inches. The round part above the Bell reads CONN CHOICE OF THE ARTISTS with 3 members of a marching band in the middle.  Almost didn't see it but directly under the Mouthpiece is a front view of a Lions Head wiith the same infromation as listed above and reads MEDIUM BORE under the #9142.  The slide part can be removed all the way. The Mouthpiece looks more silver than any other part, it has tarnished like silver or silverplate.  It is signed OLDS 5. It appears that there is 2 or 3 different colorsof Brass in this Trombone.  The Bell coloring is definately a different color than the rest of the Trombone.  You collectors will know the difference. Yes, it does have some dents and dings in it here and there but it is almost 100 years old.  I have not tried to clean it in any way.  It is in the condition I found it and this is an "AS IS" auction.  Hopefully the pictures will show the detail that I have tried to explain.  It is a beautiul Antique, it just needs a new owner that knows what to do with it. I only charge actual shipping charges.  I have to enter an amount for shipping according to ebay policies. Please wait until end of auction and I will get back with you on exact shipping charges.  Box may be oversized.  Or email with address before end of auction. Thanks for looking!
