This is a GREAT melodica! This is a NEW Angel AM-37K3 Melodyhorn manufactured by Angel Musical Instrument Co. LTD. of Korea. They have been making musical instruments since 1955 and produce the best Melodicas in Asia. Don't be fooled by cheap look-alikes because that’s just what you will get, a cheap look-alike. The Angel AM37K3's will all have "Angel" printed on the top end plate and MELODYHORN AM-37K3 printed on the side. They will be two tone green or blue with the top of the end caps being darker than the body. Unlike most other Melodicas made in China and other parts of Asia, these have wider keys making them easier to play (the same size as Hohner's). They have larger thicker brass reeds for better tone and projection (like Hohner) and the reeds don’t get gummed up and stick like melodicas with thin reeds. The reeds are mounted on a stainless steel plate and they use a rubber gasket between the reed plate and the body housing (like Hohner). It has a button that operates a spit valve (like Hohner). There is also a hand strap built into the back to hold the instrument while playing (like Hohner). With 37 keys it goes one note higher than Hohner. The range is from the 1st F below middle C to the 2nd F above middle C (three octaves plus one note). You can play multiple notes and cords. These are well made and come in a sturdy hard case.This instrument has excellent sound quality and great projection. They just cost less to make in Korea. This means that you can own a fine three octave 37 key melodica that sounds and plays GREAT without paying the high European price. The Hohner HM36 36 key melodica retails for $269.95! The AM-37K3 comes with a hard case, two mouthpieces, (one 2†mouthpiece, one 21†blow tube with a mouthpiece), and a cleaning cloth. Everyone loves these instruments (check my feedback!!).
