"PIONEER, MADE IN U.S.A" is stenciled on the bell. The metal clarinet's date back to the early 1800's. All but a few companies stopped manufacturing them in the 1930's. They are favored by jazz musicians because of their unique tone. The clarinet is in nice cosmetic condition. The silver plate finish shines. It has minor wear. I polished the easy-to-reach areas and will leave polishing under the keys to the buyer. It has a few tiny shallow dings on the top of the bell. The body is straight. I play enough to test a clarinet and it plays the first 3-5 notes in a regular octave and it plays the lowest 3-5 notes in the high octave. All of the keys move. The pads are old. This model clarinet does not need a separate barrel/neck for attaching a mouthpiece to the clarinet. The top of the clarinet is designed to hold a mouthpiece. It comes with an unmarked mouthpiece. It has a ligature and cover. The cork on the mouthpiece is good. It includes a lyre for holding sheet music. It comes in a black hard case. The exterior fabric has minor wear. The plush orange interior is good; it has normal wear. The latches work and the leather handle is good. Don't let this one get away. It would make a perfect gift for a musician or collector!
