This CONN Alto Saxophone Style 26M-21 is truly the, "Choice of the Artists". Here is an opportunity to own a legendary instrument that's got more than the typical bells and whistles. First, the sax itself. It appears to be all original, working condition, felts, finish, the works. View the pics for yourself. I can see no visible dents anywhere and only minor scratches. The "lady" jumps out at you. I'm not a musician but this piece looks like it's been used very little. Second, the case is original to the instrument and is evidence of the owner's special care he took of his sax. The case has modest wear given its 65 years of life. Third, is the provenance. Maybe you don't care (however you should) but, with the successful bidder's purchase comes the original receipt from the J. H. Troup Music House in Harrisburg, PA. It is dated April 10, 1943 and documents the purchase of a CONN Alto Sax #304648 for $208. Along with a trade-in of another instrument for $43, the total cost to the new owner amounted to $165. A lot of change in the middle of the war. Last, along with all of the above, you get the CONN booklet on how to care for your new instrument , what I believe to be the original strap, and some other goodies. The sax and everything is being offered with a very low opening bid AND NO RESERVE! I'll try to answer any questions you may have about this item. Shipping will be approximately $20 depending on location and method and I'd expect anyone buying this beautiful piece to want lots of insurance. PayPal is preferred but will accept personal check cleared before shipping. Good Luck!
