This is a VERY NICE Conn 8DY French Horn. The Conn 8D has been one of the most popular professional French horns on earth for over 40 years, ever since it was introduced, and it is easy to see why. They have a big, bold sound that really lets you be heard over a section. This one is a recent innovation from Conn, the 8DY. With a yellow brass bell, you maintain the boldness and power of the Conn 8D, but also get a warmer tone that is more suitable for many of the extended horn solos in the orchestral literature.This one is in very good condition. There are some minor surface marks in the lacquer, but nothing serious, maybe a ding or 2 as well (see pics). Valves are excellent, and this horn plays great as is. Dont miss this one!
