This is a 2005 made bouzouki by Canadian luthier Peter Cox. This instrument is typical of Peter's instruments, with every detail intented to create a superior tone. Nothing is purely for decoration, keeping the cost low while sounding far superior to many more expensive instruments. The top is of arched cedar for clear highs and growly lows. The back and sides are walnut, the neck is mahogany and the fingerboard is maple. The bridge is mahogany and ebony and the nut is ebony. The scale length is 660mm. Peter uses many local woods in his instruments, and the cedar and walnut in this bouzouki were cut and aged in Ontario. The mahogany used in the neck is salvaged from an old mahogany piano which has become a great number of excellent instrument necks. Peter is known for his arch-top jazz guitars, and the arched cedar top of this bouzouki shows his expertise. I will regret selling this instrument, but as a student going into grad school I must reduce my instrument collection. Happy bidding! Buyer pays actual shipping, whatever the prefered method is. No screwing around I promise!
