So the buy it now would be only $675 and it will still ship free!!!! Selling a set of orchestra bells made by the legendary Deagan Co. from Chicago. This is model #1512. 2.5 Octaves G-C. Bars are 1 1/8" wide and 3/8" thick, a very standard size for all types of uses. Lowest A is labeled A=440. I believe they have the original factory tuning. They are in a nice- looking fold- in- two wooden case. I believe the case originally housed a set of Roundtop bells. A great sounding set and portable for gigging too. Bars are in pretty good shape. There is some wear to the plating, but no flaking or heavy marks from brass mallets. Felt seems pretty good still. The rail the sharp and flat bars sit on appears to have been repaired and there is a piece of wood missing from the back side of it. Finish on the outside of the case is great and the plating on the case hardware is also very nice. The case opens and closes very tightly. Please understand this is a vintage instrument and not in perfect condition. I sell a lot of drums, but occasionally get some nice mallet instruments such as this. I have tried to describe all flaws both in words and through many photos, but it is not possible to mention every single thing. I am not the original owner, just the vendor. Please bid after studying photos and description. Since Ebay enacted its new feedback system some buyers have tried to take advantage of me by claiming bogus flaws and demanding a partial refund while threatening negative feedback.
