These two volumes include the beginning techniques as well as learning to play nine songs! In volumes 3-5, advanced instruction for steel-string guitar players is taught. Techniques include fingerpicking, travispicking, flatpicking. Bluegrass, country, and other styles shown. Advanced techniques on songs taught in Vols. 1-2 as well as several new songs taught as well. Some reviews - After not playing or owning a guitar for more than 25 years I watched Esteban on hsn and was immediately inspired to order the classical guitar. I learned the songs on the tapes that came with it then I took classical lessons for 6 months, then bought some flamenco books and cds. It was 3years ago when I recieved the guitar and I play it every day and the tone just keeps getting better and better. I am seriously considering ordering the new cutaway classic, but I will never get rid of the original one I bought. I live near several music stores but I've never found a deal like I got with the Esteban classical. I am now 58 years old and I love making music. This is how I unwind at the end of a hard day at work. Thank you Esteban. I also love the cds I bought from you. I recently played estebans american legacy guitar and I must say, I found that it is the only guitar than can compare with the gibson elvis presley dove guitar which i have played for a few years when i go to a friend of mines house(i dont own either guitar) when i played the american legacy guitar something strange happened, it brought tears to my eyes because it sounds so great! The only real problem i had was putting it down. I have been asked if i can reccomend a guitar for someone to learn on and i tell them about the american legacy because of its great sound and easy playability. Thank you Esteban for bringing everyone such a great guitar!!! Hi, I'm a 22 year old college student that comes from a family line of musicians. Unfortunately it had seemed that the talent ended with my generation. At least we thought so until some sleepless nights kept me up, allowing me to be captivated by an inspiring infomercial that opened my eyes. I didn't hesitate to order the gift of guitar. Eight months later, I am on track to mastering Esteban's first two volumes of instruction. The second I tore open the cardboard box, the smell of polished wood, the light beautifully reflecting off of this instrument was so attractive. I picked up this lovely guitar and strummed my first steel string guitar. It was love at first sight/sound. I was surprised by the craftmanship and detail of this piece. Opening that box opened my heart and the family has found music again. I can't put this gorgeous guitar down! Every time I look at it, i hear music in my mind and feel passion in my heart. I can't wait until i play like Esteban. THANK YOU A MILLION TIMES!
