This upgrade kit is 64MB of RAM memory that allows you to load and play samples on your Kurzweil K2000 (all models), K2500 (revisions A thru J), and the K2vx. The kit consists of four 16MB simms for a total of 64MB. These are the correct simms for a K2000, K2vx, and earlier versions of the K2500. The 7th digit of your K2500 serial number designates which motherboard revision you have. "O" designates revision A thru J. "Z" designates revision K. The revision K motherboard was made after approximately June, 1997 and uses PC-style simms. Never use 9-chip simms in a Kurzweil. All K2000 models and the K2vx will be maxed out with this 64MB kit. All K2500 models (revisions A thru J) will be maxed out with 128MB or two of these kits. These new simms are tested in a Kurzweil and guaranteed. I don't just take the simms off a shelf and ship them. I install them in a K2000R, run the diagnostics test, and make sure they are 100% before they are shipped. Complete installation instructions are included. Installing simms in a Kurzweil is simple and only requires a phillips head screwdriver. To check the current sample RAM memory in a K2000 model: push either the Master or Disk button and the top line on the display will read, SAMPLES:65536K, if your sample RAM is maxed out. When you check the pre-revision K K2500 models, the display will read, SAMPLES:131072K, if your sample RAM is maxed out. The simms will be in anti-static bags and well packed for shipping.
