Lighter Tension is actually blue in color.  I didn't want to pull one out of the plastic just for a photo.  The red one in the photo is medium tension I carry with me everywhere.   Gripmaster Hand & Finger Exerciser For Maintaining the strength & performance of fingers & hands ·         Individual, spring-loaded buttons ·         Exercises fingers, hand and forearm ·         Portable and durable   See the photos for exercises you can do with the Gripmaster- (The following is from the insert that comes with the Gripmaster.  These instructions are printed in English, French, Spanish, German, Italian and Hebrew (I think).) 1.       Hook Position- Place fingertips on individual buttons and position ergonomic palm bar with the hook over the web space between the thumb and index finger.  Keeping fingertips slightly bent, flex all fingers towards the center of the unit.  Strengthens longer muscles in the forearm and wrist while stretching smaller muscles in the hand for greater motion and endurance.  Simulation of scale patterns help to build coordination and speed. 2.       Gross Grasp- Place the middle of the fingers on the buttons with the finger tips wrapped over the top.  Positioning the hook of the ergonomic palm bar over the web space between the thumb and index finger, flex the thumb and all fingers toward the center of the unit as if making a fist.  Strengthens fingers, thumb, wrist and forearm for endurance. 3.       Key Pinch- Place the hook of the ergonomic palm bar on the inside of the bent index finger.  With the tip of the thumb slightly bent, flex the thumb on the first button.  Strengthens thumb and index finger for greater stability and coordination.  4.       Tip to Tip Pinch- Place the tip of the thumb on the center of the ergonomic palm bar.  Position the finger to be exercised on one side of the center buttons.  Keeping both tips slightly bent, flex the thumb and finger being exercised toward the center of the unit at the same time.  Strengthens specific fingers, thumb, smaller hand muscles and forearm for greater control and endurance.  Can be done with one or more fingers. 5.       Intrinsic Plus Position- Place ergonomic palm bar at the base of the thumb with the buttons resting at the base of the fingers.  Hold the tips of the thumb and fingers straight out.  Flex the thumb and all fingers toward the center of the unit at the same time.  Isolates and strengthens smaller hand muscles for greater coordination and control.   The Gripmaster comes in three strengths- Medium Tension, Light Tension and Extra Light Tension.
