This is a super nice old vintage banjo made by S.S. Stewart in PA. I was told it was from 1896 but I am not sure about that. The serial # is 14811. It is stamped on the dowel rod and the pot. It has a tag inside that says American Princess. It looks to be a German Silver pot. The head is 10 inches. The heel on the banjo is nicely hand carved. It doesn't look like it has ever had any breaks of any kind. All the inlay is there. The string action is really good. Has a very nice tone. It is an original 5-string neck. It has an ebony fret board. The frets are in good condition. I do not know if these tuners are original or not, but they do look old. I do not have a case for the banjo, but it will be packed good. I am selling this AS IS because it is used. Buyer pays shipping money order please. Please pay within 7 days of end of auction.
