Description

Play In Pitch is a simple and effective ear training method for beginner to advanced students of string instruments. This program  for sale is  directed for VIOLIN use. Our other programs are  for Cello, Violaand Base   This method is most effective under the direction of, and used as, a supplement to lessons provided by your string teacher.   If you do not have, or cannot acquire the assistance of a string teacher, not to worry, the Play in Pitch method is simple and easy to use on your own.   What the  Play in Pitch ear training method is intended to be is an effective way to train your ears to recognize true pitch. The Play in Pitch ear training method is a useful and enjoyable method to be used with, and in addition to, the lessons and instruction you receive from your teacher or other string instrument training programs. The Play in Pitch ear training method is a good tool, and like any good tool it only works when it is used.   The Play in Pitch ear training method was developed by a string teacher for string teachers and students. Mr. Patrick has been teaching stringed instruments since 1991. “The hardest thing to get across to beginner students of stringed instruments is the concept of matching pitch,” says Mr. Patrick. “I would have my students match the pitch as I played a series of notes or a scale on my piano. This worked well during our lesson time but I wanted my students to get the benefit of matching their notes to true pitch while at home during their regular practice time so I devolved this ear training method and have had great success with it. From beginner to advanced all my students benefit from the Play in Pitch program.”   How to use the  Play in Pitch ear training method.   1. Tune your instrument to A=440 (tuning notes are provided on the last track of the CD or use your electronic tuner).   2. Open the manual to the page of the scale you wish to practice. Place the CD into a CD player and set the track number to the track number of the lesson.   3. Start the CD and play along with the music in the manual with the goal of matching the pitch of your instrument to the pitch of the CD.   There are four major scales in Play in Pitch volume 1 with eight tracks of exercises per scale. D Major G Major A Major C Major With a total time of ten minutes per scale the Play in Pitch ear training method makes for a great warm-up to your scheduled practice routine.   Intermediate to advanced exercises are included in the manual.   A Quick Note   The Play in Pitch ear training method is not intended to be an instructional guide on how to play a particular string instrument nor is it intended to be a replacement for a qualified music teacher. I strongly advise that if you do not have a qualified teacher seek one out. Also, unlike some of the claims you'll see on TV or on-line, the Play in Pitch ear training method is not intended to be, nor does it promise to, “have you playing like the pros in 10 days”. Those claims are exaggerated at best. What the Play in Pitch ear training method is intended to be is an effective way to train your ears to recognize true pitch.
