This is a large bore mouthpiece, and is designed for use with professional symphonic tenor trombones. The Vincent Bach company was at its peak during the years spent in Mount Vernon, New York. Instruments and mouthpieces from that era are among the most desirable items on the planet for professional brass musicians. This piece is no exception! It plays with a gorgeous, centered sound that is unique and honestly feels distinct from today's Bach mouthpieces. It just doesn't get any better than this!! Perhaps the most amazing feature of this mouthpiece is its remarkable condition. The piece looks absolutely fantastic, and looks to have been replated at some point. It is free of major dings and scratches. This is by far the best example of a Mount Vernon 5G that you're likely to find. If you are a large bore trombonist, this is the mouthpiece for you!
