Van Cauwelaert. This professional grade Belgian horn is a rare find and a super buying opportunity for collectors/investors and players alike. It even comes with is original case with an interior that looks like it was designed to hold royalty. The designer of this trumpet really went the extra mile to make it stand out from the rest. Please take your time while looking at the photos and close ups and I hope you have as much fun as I did when you discover all the neat little design flourishes and superb details built into this vintage horn. It's a joy to look at and I'll be sad to see it go. I rarely see an old horn like this with so much attention to detail.It's my hope that someone will take the time to restore this horn to its former playing glory. It needs a single repair to the bell where it meets up with the forward/upper brace. I point it out in the photos where this repair is needed.Everything else on this vintage horn is in excellent condition. This trumpet plays well with all the valves moving very smoothly. When you pull out the first valve pull there is a strong "pop" sound indicating good compression. All the valve pulls slide easily and all the top and bottom valve caps screw on and off easily. The water key is springing shut and sealing well.Included is the fully working tunable main tuning slide with adjustable tuning valve. Moving the valve raises the pitch by a 1/2 step. Also included is a main tuning slide without the tuning valve option.I've taken photos from all angles so you can best see every square inch of this fine vintage horn. The silver plate is nearly 100% and there is less than typical cosmetic wear for its age with a few hard to find dings and no dented areas.
