Description

Rare Vintage ‘70’s Gibson 350T ES Archtop Guitar – 350 L-5 335 175 Byrdland A true one-of-a-kind guitar!  The 350T is a thinline Byrdland-shaped body with a laminate top, and a 25.5 scale neck (like an L-5 or Fender) – typically not one of the more collectable Gibson’s according to some.  But this 350T has an ebony fret board, block inlays, highly flamed neck and serial number “4”!  The guitar is in exceptional condition, with the finish checking that you see on most older Gibson guitars, and one small ding in the binding.  I’m told that the original owner kept it under his bed for much of its +30 years life, and it looks it.  Straight neck, with slight fret wear in first position.  The guitar is all original except for an after-market Bigsby professionally installed and GraphTec bridge inserts.  It will ship with the original tailpiece in the original Gibson hard shell case, which is also in good condition.  I have an email written by “S.J. ‘Frog’ Forgey” at Elderly Instruments suggesting that the guitar was likely built for an employee and stating that, “We would likely sell this, if it's all original, in the $3500-4000 range. To buy or in trade it is worth around $2200-2800.”     I would guess that this guitar was built in the late seventies, since one vintage Gibson site reports that the 350T was discontinued in 1963 and was re-introduced by Gibson in 1977 – this time with a 25 ½” scales and a rounded cutaway, like this guitar.  See, http://www.provide.net/~cfh/gibson4.html.   I’ll pay to ship in the Con US.  If for any reason, you're not not completely satisified with this guitar, return it at your cost, fully insured, in the exact same condition as it was shipped out, and I'll refund your entire purchase price minus the original shipping cost.
