Description

LOCAL PICK UP BLOOMINGTON ILLINOIS!!!!  I WILL NOT SHIP!!!!!!!! PICK UP WITHIN 7 DAYS OF END OF AUCTION. NO AUDIO GEAR COMES WITH THIS AUCTION. I HAVE SOLD ALL OTHER GEAR AND THIS IS THE ONLY THING LEFT   Up for bid is a Homemade Console Desk and 32 rack unit desk(2 X 16). It is made of Solid Oak and Aspen. I do not consider myself to be a carpenter and the desk will need done to you liking. I used it to fit my Tascam m520 Console. It can be configured to hold just about any size consol thou. The console I had in it is the same size as Digi Design Pro Tools CI 24. I am selling this as wood only. It will be completly taken apart. You will need to re-assemble and do a lot of sanding, staining, and glueing to get it to look good. The end cap on the desk was hand turned oak by a friends dad and cost me $300. I just roughed it up when I made it. You will need to do major work to get it looking good. I do not cut a very strait line, so wood clean up and fitting is your responsibility. The picture is of my studio when it was close to done. Take a close look at the picture because this is the exact wood you will be getting. I will also incude every screw that I used. The desk measures 40 inches tall in the front. 47 inches tall in the rear. 38 inches wide (rear to endcap). The desk is 107 inches long. I used 2x4 under the desk for top strength and besides these everything else is Oak or Aspen. The 2 2x4's you can see are  wrapped in fake cream colored leather. I weigh 230 pounds and I can stand on it so It will hold weight just fine. The rack is 45 inches wide x 48 inches tall x 24 inches at the bottom tapered to 11 inches at the top and comes with the 4 rack rails. Oak and Aspen when stained will look good with the contrast between dark and light wood. This could be a beautiful desk or you could use the wood for some other project. I want to get it out of my living room because it take up space.   I am starting this item at $1 WITH NO RESERVE. This is your chance to get all of the material to make a good looking desk for your studio dirt cheap.   Ask any question before the end of the auction  On Nov-17-08 at 04:17:36 PST, seller added the following information:I used a top layer of 3/4 plywood that is hidden from the front for a secure place to set the console on. This gives it the strength to hold larger consoles. Once again thanks for looking and ask any questions.
