Rigoutat (Paris) Oboe   Serial No. 017X This one has a beautiful tone the cork is strong no cracks no issues with any of the keys   Originally owned by Harold Palmer, then Polly-Palmer Colony.  Harold Palmer started the renowned High Plains Band Camp.  The High Plains Band Camp, located on the campus of Fort Hays State University, is recognized as one of the major music camps in the United States. Started in 1947 by the late Harold G. Palmer, the camp celebrated its 60th season in 2007.   Harold Palmer was one of the first pioneers to write several books on the teaching techniques of woodwinds.  One of his first published pieces was Woodwinds : A Textbook for the P174 Instrumental Teacher and the Teacher in Training. He also wrote on New Formations and Materials for the Marching Band.   Though this oboe is used, great care was given, and it is in near mint condition.   I will ship outside the United States, as long as the buyer pays the USPS rate for Express Mail International with insurance (based on final amount of the winning bid).
