You are bidding on a professional english horn made by Selmer in Paris France, model 45, serial # 04xxx. This english horn has been professionally adjusted and cleaned and is in excellent condition. The silver keys are shiny and the grenadilla wood has been oiled and cleaned. There are no leaks and the pads are in good condition, both the cork and skin pads have a lot of life in them. The horn comes in the original case that is in excellent condition. The instrument also comes with a #1 bocal, #2 bocal, cork grease, tenon caps, and neck strap. If you are looking for a professional english horn this is a great buy, Selmer english horns are known for their tone. If you play the oboe and need to double on english horn this is for you. As can be seen in the pictures there is a small fracture along the grain in the bell. This fracture has been filled and repaired properly, it does not effect the tone or the value. Other than that the instrument shows no signs of cracks or repairs. The instrument will be packed securely and shipped out UPS as soon as the payment is made. Sorry no international bidders please.
