Use this Silver Cleaning Plate The Silver Cleaning Plate only uses water and soda crystals, keeping your hands free of polish The Silver Cleaning Plate is suitable for Silver, Silver Plate, Gold, Pewter and Jewellery. INSTRUCTIONS 1. Place the Silver Cleaning Plate in a plastic bowl 2. Fill the bowl with enough hot water to completely immerse the items to be cleaned 3. Add one dessertspoon of household soda crystals (available from most household stores) for every litre of hot water used. Ensure that all the crystals dissolve 4. Place the items to be cleaned, so that they are touching the plate either directly or indirectly via another item 5. leave for four to five minutes, during which time tarnish and dirt will be removed 6. Use a soft cloth or brush if necessary, to remove stubborn stains and encrusted polish 7. After cleaning wash items in soapy water, rinse and then dry thoroughly 8. use a soft cloth to provide a finishing polish to your silver and silver plate DO NOT Use on pearls, opals, soft stones, paste stones or jewellery that has glued rather than set stones. DO NOT Leave items "in soak" for longer that the specified four to five minutes as this can cause the surface to darken.
