This Oboe is in great condition. It is a Selmer, Made in USA instrument. It has great looking silver and shiny black finish. The corks look great. It has no problems that we can see. The corks are soft and go together tight. The cork covers have been used and are included. The instrument includes 1 reed which is a "Jones soft reed". The price sticker is still on the bottom of the reed at $12.95. Also included is a tube of cork grease. 2 tools that look like chisels. The prior owner said they are for cleaning? Also is a nylon sock used for cleaning the instrument also. The prior owner put it together and played it for me and it had a very nice sound to it. She told me she purchased it for her daughter to learn to play and just lost interest. The serial number on it is # B 43053. The only condition problem is the former owner lightly engraved her name in the pieces. Picture #4 shows it. I know from experience that this was done with a vibratory engraver. It is very light and faint. We did not even notice it until we had the instrument back at the office. If this is an issue, I am sure a jeweler or music store could buff it out. It is very shallow and not noticeable when you look normally at the instrument. You need to look real close to see it.
