SELMER SUPER BALANCED ACTION from 1949 Serialnumber 39612 Body in unbelievable good shape. This almost 60 years old sax has got a few very very small dings on lower part of the body. Really nothing for a mechanic to fix to the shape of new. Pads are replaced a few years ago, there will be no need for that now, what you should do is to make a few adjustments to the mechanism. As the pictures can tell the lacquer on the neck is the most ugly part of this beautiful sax. I showed this sax to one of Europes most skilled saxmechanics and he said (quote): "-The lacquer on this sax is original, how ever its not the best lacquer-job I have seen in t terms of the finish. In the big picture this sax is incredible nice, both lacquer and body is 99% wich is remarkable on such an old sax." I´m on Ebay to stay so I will not pull any tricks on you, this is 100% serious. Please Email me for more info and all the pictures you nees, you can also send me a mail to get my phone number. I will use PayPal only. For bidders outside the European Union; I will send with Swedish Post Company. Sending to for example the US will take about 7 days and I will need your adress and also a phone number for the Custom to get in touch with you. I will ship worldwide and the Shipping is for free. This is in case you win! The playing condition is great and do I need to say it sounds heavenly?!On Nov-18-08 at 21:14:52 PST, seller added the following information:This sax comes with what´s assumed to be the Original brown case in very good condition. Email me for pictures. I also include a mouthpiece, not original; Selmer S80 c**.On Nov-20-08 at 03:48:25 PST, seller added the following information:Now I get a lot of emails regarding my sax and quit a few questions is regarding the lacquer, original or not? I would like to make this clear; I´m being very honest with pictures and answers although I would lie if I sayed that I know for 100% the lacquer is original. This sax is close to 60 years old and I´m not able to track the history but I can say that I really dont think it has been relacquered and as I wrote in the items descripion I showed the sax to a mech that dont think so either. In the quote from him it says "-not the best lacquerjob I´ve seen in terms of the finish". What he meant, and thats also shown on picture 5 in description, is that the finish has like a "orange peel-looking-surface" if you know what I mean. He also meant that you could see looking at the line between worn parts and paint that its original.
