This is a cool retro vintage old mic.This is also a well known Harmonica mic. We used it for snare in a 50's cover band. It was like having a SM 57 with a mount already atatched. We also used it for vocals. We have the origional mic cable with a newer Neutrik XLR so it was practical. This mic has a switch but it has a 4 wire system so you can bypass the switch if needed. That is how we used it. Vintage mics are hard to get and getting more valuable each day
