JUST ADDED NEW PICS. THE PERFECT HOLIDAY GIFT FOR A TRUE GUITAR LOVER !!!!!!!!! Up for bids is the finest guitar I have ever had the pleasure of playing. Clearly visible in early Slingerland Chicago catalogs as a model 76 produced in the early to mid thirties. The only thing this guitar needs is the maybell logo on the headstock, and originally there was a circle painted around the hole. I originally thought this meant the face/front had been refinished, however after showing this to several vintage guitar experts, and I do mean experts.I have been told time and time again it is the original finish. In all fairness though one of them said after looking at it long and hard, "It is possible someone re-did the face, but if they did it was a long long time ago, and they were extremely talented". Even if it were in fact the case I want to be clear, there is absolutely no doubt at all that the rest of the finish is 100% original. As for aging, there is a very tight age line near the sound hole, but it is less than 2 inches long, and I can not even catch my thumb nail on it. Otherwise this guitar is the most pristine example you will ever see. Obviously there are blemishes hear and there, but it looks almost new!!!! inside and OUT!!!! I thought I had more photo's on this computer, however they have gone missing, I will upload them all to show excactly how wonderful this guitar is very soon. Case is included, it is in solid and even pretty nice shape, the case hardware has a bit of surface rust, and the inside pocket has come loose, otherwise nice, solid, clean, and very usable. I believe it is in fact the original case, but cannot confirm it. SHIPPING WITHIN THE USA IS FREE!!! ELSEWHERE IN THE WORLD PLEASE Ask!......................................... Just to be Clear, this is an Arched Top Arched Back Guitar, The finish is pristine all the way around, and it plays beautifully, with crisp warm tones, and harmonics can be played with ease all the way up the fret board!!
