This quality American made instrument is in great playing condition and has typical wear for its age (circa late 1970s). It will made a super horn for a beginner through intermediate level player.This trumpet plays well with all the valves moving very smoothly. When you pull out the first valve pull there is a strong "pop" sound indicating good compression. All the valve pulls slide easily and all the top and bottom valve caps screw on and off easily. The two water keys are springing shut and sealing well.I've taken photos from all angles so you can best see every square inch of this fine vintage horn. There is typical wear for its age with a few minor dings and a small dented area on the edge of the bell. It's nothing major and it doesn't affect the sound, but I point it out to be thorough in describing this trumpet. All the braces are solid and there is nothing loose or needing repair. Simply put, this vintage horn is all ready for playing and properly cared for will last for a very long time and hold its value very well because of the quality of workmanship that King is well known for.The engraving on the bell reads as follows...KingCleveland600U.S.A.The serial number is 688357.Included with this horn will be a super looking vintage hardshell case with lots of storage room inside for extra mouthpieces, music, valve oil, etc. All the latches and hinges are in working condition.
