It has those great design florishes that the old French horn makers are known for and is quite attractive looking with typical patina for its age.This trumpet is in playing condition with all the valves moving smoothly. When you pull out the third valve pull there is a strong "pop" sound indicating good compression. All the valve pulls slide easily and all the top and bottom valve caps screw on and off easily. The water key is springing shut and sealing well.I've taken photos from all angles so you can best see for yourself all this horn has to offer, especially those cool extra design details that only a photo can best describe. I see no signs of repairs or modifications except for the second valve button which was replaced. All the buttons have genuine mother of pearl caps and look great in any light. There are some dings and some minor denting shown in the close up photos. All the wear is typical of an instrument of this vintage.The engraving on the bell reads as follows...LafayetteMade ByCouesnon & CieParisMade in FranceIncluded with this horn will be a nice vintage hardshell case with working latches and hinges.
