It is in good solid condition, a nice conditioned book, no writing or underlining that I can see. A previous buyer of this title said "a Great book, and perfect deal"! Another buyer from Spain kept his review short and sweet..."Excellente"! So people are digging this book! A third said, "a pleasure...A+" A buyer from France said, "item as described, great seller". You are bidding on a HARDBACK college textbook on the subject of Audio, Sound Recording, and vintage (now vintage, because the book is from 1986), and this beauty is 612 pages of greatness. A big book! Hardback! A great section on Microhones, featuring the RCA 44BX, Neumann and AKG mics, Beyer ribbon, and many others, with specs, graphs etc...worth the price right there! Here are some chapters, and if you look at the pictures, you'll see why I'm so impressed with this book: 1. Aspects of Sound...24 pages, intro stuff. 2. Sound Studios...25 pages 3. Consoles...30 pages, some great consoles, I think I see a Neve, old Gates mixer, and more. 4. Turntables...hey, this is great stuff if you are a turntable/vinyl guy! 5. Microphones...50 pages, such a great chapter, worth the price alone, how to use them, different types, awesome! 6. Magnetic Recording...55 pages, not digital, analogue! 7. Monitor Loudspeakers...19 pages, cool models, like that UREI! 8. Signal Processing...38 pages, awesome gear, awesome advice, on EQ, Filters, Reverb, Delay, compressors, limiters, expanders, more 9. Preproduction...this is good, about 30 pages. 10. Production, 52 pages, lots on miking 11. Miking Music....50 pages, lots of great advice here for you studio cats! Shows pictures on miking, great stuff 12. Studio Recording and Production...50 pages, very nice indeed. 13. On Location Recording 14. Post Production 15. Mixing and Rerecording, for film, radio, tv and just music. Hey, can you tell this is an awesome book? Full of great gear and great advice.
