Up for sale is a very nice Yamaha medium-large bore (.460) professional trumpet. This horn is silver plated with a 5" bell and plays very well up and down the register with excellent intonation. The YTR 737 was made between 1976 and 1984. It is very similar to a Schilke B5 (Schilke was involved in the design of this series of Yamaha trumpets.) The YTR737 was replaced in 1984 with the YTR 6335S, which retails today for around $2300 and can be bought at a discount for around $1650. This particular Yamaha YTR 737 is in very good condition, with only a few very minor scratches in the plating. There is no pitting anywhere on the plating and no evidence of any red rot anywhere on the horn. The valves are very smooth and compression is excellent. Slides fit well and operate as they should. These Yamaha lightweight horns produce a brilliant sound and are ideal for big band work or anywhere where the sound has to stand out. The original case in nice condition and a Bach 3C mouthpiece are included. Please email me with any questions. Thanks for looking.
