this is a beautifull full size violin it is made of highly flamed maple back sides and neck, with a spruce top the horse head was hand carved flawlessly.the finger board is inlaid with heavy mother of pearl so is the rosewood chinrest,,,this violin plays and sounds wonderfull...note the open back scroll isnt that unique...this is not a chinese violin like youll find on ebay...this was handmade in the u.s.a this violin also has some sort of jewels on the end of the tunning pegs, and also for the horses eyes they are diamond type jewels...this violin is 40 years old.the label inside reads TENNESSEE STUD BY ALEX HOROWITZ JOHNSTOWN PA 1968.it is in almost mint condition........comes with a descent older case ...please dont miss a chance to own this one of a kind violin..i guarantee you there isnt another like it... also the pictures really do it no justice it is a lot nicer in person..
